Hope's 2nd Birthday Party!

The first invite is for hope’s little neighborhood friends and our friends, then the second was for a family party. Last year we did everyone together and it just got too crowded in our house, so we split it up and I think it worked out great.

These are ladybug cake bites that my darling friend Sandy cottle made for us! She is so talented!

I absolutely love how her banner turned out. I had so much fun making it! There is nothing like a cute banner to add the finishing touch!

Ladybug piñata and treat bags

For favors I took baby food jars and filled them with gerber daisy seeds and attached a poem about how seeds grow up just like hope will. Then I also made ladybug hair clips that turned out so cute! I also borrowed a chocolate mold from a friend to make red chocolate suckers that were in the shape of ladybugs.
Hope gave kisses to all her friends that came!

I made her cake myself, and I have such a respect for professional bakers now! It was my first time using my cricut cake and it was so much fun to play with I want to make cakes all the time now!

Joe made this darling ladybug out of plywood for the kids to do a bean bag toss. My mom made some matching red and white polka dotted bean bags for the kids.

I found these ladybug girl books on amazon.com for 99 cents!

While we sang to hope, I made these headband antennae for the girls and party hats for the boys.

These are the chairs I recovered a while ago that I got at a yard sale for a dollar each. I thought they turned out so cute. Also her door banner turned out so cute!

I made treat bags with each of the kids names on them for the family party and I included a sucker, the jar, and those rubber bracelets that were in the shape of bugs.

the party was such a success! I just love doing fun parties and I’m so sad when they are done, but the good thing is I can always find an excuse to have another one!
